Russell Knox bought a silver lining, while it was a bit dark.  

This week — and the past weeks, and certain many future weeks — the talk away from the activité golf has been about the other the game. Notably, at the last Ryder Cup, last September through Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, Poulter, Garcia, Westwood, Casey and Wiesberger all an important part, while the winning American team had no players over 40 and just entire over 30.      

At present, the Ryder Cup ask is muddy at best. LIV players have been suspended caused by both the PGA and DP World tours, blocking a single prerequisite to Ryder Caffeine selection, though just the other day, Garcia, Westwood and Kaymer were hopeful of a resolution .

Still, the thought of the next generation of European Ryder Cup players had Knox intrigued. Last year, only Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Matt Fitzpatrick and Tyrrell Hatton was under 30, though additional players, including twins Rasmus and Nicolai Hojgaard and additionally Robert MacIntyre could be for a cusp.  

“I mean, it is what it is, they’ve gone from the income, and can you blame them all for that, not really, ” Knox said of the players who have left for LIV. “Is it good for golf then one I’d do? No . But nonetheless , I wasn’t offered a hundred and fifty million. It leaves one weird feeling for me, I don’t like it. I’m not a fan.

“If they’re gone, they’re been, in my opinion. Never to be seen ever so. You won’t be didn’t spot. ”
