Scottie Scheffler can laugh about it therefore. Well, actually, he ridiculed about it then, too, if he was in the moment and it managed at Augusta National of Masters Sunday.

You probably know the story . Scheffler came to the 72nd hole with a five-shot take and four-putted the eighteenth green for a double-bogey 9. He still won readily, but has anyone ever gained a major golf tournament due to four-putting the final green? Sound question.

In his post-win press conference, Scheffler didn’t talk much at the four-putt (and why can he, he just successful the Masters), but performed say, “I tried to keep my head down and just continue to keep doing what I was taking because I didn’t desire to break my concentration. When I did was on 16 green when I finally managed to get on there and I had a five-shot lead and was like, straightupanddown, now I can enjoy this. And in addition you saw the results of that. ” [Laughs]

Speaking to GOLF bad recent sit-down interview , Scheffler said he commonly found the good in the viral blooper.

“I commanded [my wife] Meredith after the round, we were traveling down off. I was like, ‘Man, I’m actually kind of glad I four-putted because if I might have made the second putt as well as made the first one, I would have actually been an emotional wreck, ‘” Scheffler said.

“I think just because I’d personally have gone from being this in the zone — enjoy everybody’s cheering, my family site visitor, Meredith’s family’s there — to where it’s prefer it was in Austin [when I won the match play]. Suddenly, Oh my gosh. I just won the Professionals. This is insane. I would have just been a wreck. But since My family and i four-putted you’re able to kind of snicker at it like that got funny. Who has ever four-putted to win the Entrepreneurs? ” [Laughs]

“You have to be able to laugh at both yourself, ” Scheffler added.

This week Scheffler have another big tournament on his schedule, the PGA Tournament. He’s among the favorites to win in Tulsa, Okla., when the action gets underway on Thursday.
