The 2023 Open Championship at the Royal Liverpool kicks off Thursday, with star major winners like Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler vying to win the final men’s major of the year. But what channel is the Open on this week? Here’s everything you need to know to watch the action on TV.
What channel is the Open on?
For this year’s 151st Open Championship, NBC and USA are the channels that will provide TV coverage throughout the event in the U.S.
USA will carry exclusive TV coverage of Thursday’s first round and Friday’s second round, with lengthy 11-hour telecasts each day. On the weekend, USA will also provide early coverage beginning at 5 a.m. ET on Saturday and 4 a.m. ET on Sunday. NBC will then carry the primary broadcasts for the third and final rounds, beginning at 7 a.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday.
Early coverage of the first two rounds will be available exclusively online via Peacock. Additionally, Peacock will provide featured group and featured hole coverage all tournament long, which can also be streamed on NBCSports.com.
