Mitsubishi Chemical’s trifecta of sixth-generation Diamana wood shafts is now complete.
To start out 2025, Mitsubishi is adding the Diamana RB (Red Board) to the sixth-generation Diamana lineup. For those who fit into the Diamana Red Board, the shaft is available to pre-order on Fairway Jockey and begins shipping on Feb. 7.
Mitsubishi’s latest Diamana lineup started arriving last year with the Diamana WB and BB, and now the family is complete with the highest-launching and highest-spinning option profile. It’s the first time since the second-generation Diamana, in 2009, that the family has featured the Red Board profile.
“Diamana RB brings our most iconic brand’s latest series to its conclusion,” said Mark Gunther, Mitsubishi’s senior director of sales and marketing. “What has always made Diamana so special was the surfboards, the flowers, the Hawaiian themes and the Blue-, White- and now Red-colored board to signify the profile and performance in the series. It’s true to our brand DNA, and the entire team could not be more excited to continue with the success of the first two profiles with RB.”
As is typical with Mitsubishi “Red” constructions, Diamana RB is a mid- to mid-high launch, mid-spin product, but that shouldn’t scare away any high-speed players from using the shaft, as it will be offered in weight classes from 43 to 83 and flexes from R2 to TX.
Mitsubishi advertises the new shaft as having a medium-bend profile in the butt and mid sections while having a soft+ tip section.
Like its siblings in the sixth-gen Diamana family, the new RB features 80-ton DIALEAD pitch fiber in the handle to support increased energy transfer to the ball at impact for more ball speed. It also uses the Xlink Tech Resin System to strengthen the shaft by bolstering the carbon fiber volume. The shaft’s torque is driven down by a new orientation of piles in the tip section to take advantage of higher MOI clubheads for tighter downrange dispersion.
Head over to Fairway Jockey now to order the Diamana RB for yourself, or order a brand-new driver with the Diamana RB already installed.
