Colt Knost teed up Rory McIlroy, and thus McIlroy did not miss.

They missed it.  

“What’s that? ” he said.  

“He said an item, ” Sands said. “That was very good. ” 

“I missed the item, ” Faldo said.  

While we are not sure the comments McIlroy has seen, he and Faldo have had some history get rid of. Most recently, Faldo said at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge that McIlroy did not have “a Plan B” when his play might probably take a turn. Then, during the finale round of this year’s Entrepreneurs , McIlroy holed out of a greenside bunker to the 18th hole — and additionally Faldo announced it prior to a highlight was shown.

Two days later, on the Serta Patrick Show, Faldo apologized.
