How To Stop Fatting Golf Shots

On every shot apart from bunker shots you absolutely MUST contact the ball first if you want to play to your potential. On shots out of long grass, I know it is very difficult to contact the ball first, but the closer you do the more control and better results you’re going to get.

Now here is one of the best ways to learn how to contact the ball first. Find a grassed driving range and hit a few balls to warm up and once you’ve fat a shot, great, and here’s why it’s great. Place a ball in your divot and then hit the ball out of there. You should be able to hit the ball almost as well as normal out of a divot IF you contact the ball first. You’ll find that by doing this you are forced to hit slightly down on the ball to make good contact.

Keep practicing out of a divot until the feeling is well grooved, but for every 10 shots you hit out of a divot hit a couple from a normal lie and then watch the improvement. You’ll be amazed at the much improved shot distance and direction you now have on the shots. And finally you’ll feel what it’s like to compress the golf ball.

Now, if you can’t get to a grassed driving range here’s another way you can practice contact anywhere.   Get a training mat.

If you’ve never used a golf training mat before, you’re really missing out.

All you need to do is take a swing and the mat will give you instant feedback.

You’ll see clearly if you’re making contact with the toe or heel…

If you’re making left-to-right or right-to-left contact…

Or whether you’re taking a divot too early or too late.

Golfing training mats are an excellent way to improve your swing at home.

However, most mats on the market are very flimsy, don’t stay on the ground when you take your shot – or simply fall apart within a couple of days.

That’s why we spent months developing the MGS Golf Training mat to be the best on the market.

We use the highest-quality materials so that you’ll get years of practice with it…

And it’s heavy and strong enough to withstand regular use without moving or sliding when taking a shot.

What does this mean for you?

Instant feedback on how to fix your slice…

A consistently pure strike that will add yards to all your shots…

And the most efficient golf swing of your life.
