We did not care about swing speed years back. We knew it was of importance, sure, but the difference flanked by 112 mph and 120 mph was more nightmare-like than it was intoxicating. As 2021, it’s clear periods have changed.

Largely ushered into the lexicon by Mr. Swing Speed very little, Bryson DeChambeau , swing speed has to be one of the most talked about metrics in modern activité golf. Speed, speed, speed. Hit with faster, hit it further, you’ll score better. That is the implied promise. Only if it was that easy.  

DeChambeau himself which has upped his average driver groove speed to 132. 20 mph — an increase of more than 12% provided that 2018 — which is calculated during each round or perhaps plays over the course of the PGA Tour season. There’s not for fooling anyone with a year-long statistic like that. DeChambeau typically is whipping it 14 two more than he used to. Therefore how hard could a portion of that be?

We decided to put all of us to the test — a trustworthy 6-foot-2 8-handicap of awesome average build and athleticism. My typical driver swing was in the 112 recommend range. Could I get it to 118 mph, raising this is my ceiling, as DeChambeau told me, so that my body could notice where I could get beyyer? That test you can find lower.
