The 2023 Sony Open in Hawaii begins Thursday, January 12, at Waialae Country Club in Hawaii. You can find full Round 1 tee times for the tournament at the bottom of this post.

Featured grouping for Sony Open Round 1

There is no 20-year-old in pro golf with more attention on him than Tom Kim. The rising PGA Tour star burst onto the scene late last year with a win at the Wyndham Championship followed by a thrilling performance at the Presidents Cup.

Kim then added another victory at the 2022 Shriners Children’s Open in October to get the new 2022-23 season off to the right start. Last week in his first appearance at the Tournament of Champions, he contended and eventually finished T5. (In between he spent a shift as babysitter for fellow pro Jordan Spieth.)

Now Kim has a golden opportunity to ride his hot hand into this week’s Sony Open, maybe all the way to PGA Tour title No. 3.

Kim tees off for the first round on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET alongside Keegan Bradley and Mackenzie Hughes. You can stream Thursday’s first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+.
