Sunday should be a hoot, if a round earlier in the week is any sign.

Then, Jon Rahm, Tony Finau, Akshay Bhatia and Wesley Bryan all practiced together ahead of the Mexico Open. And who won?

Everyone.

Jon Rahm of Spain acknowledges fans after third consecutive birdie on the 14th hole during the third round of the Mexico Open at Vidanta on April 29, 2023 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.

Everything was ‘perfect’ for Jon Rahm on Saturday. That should scare everyone else

“We had a good time during our practice round,” Finau said Saturday. “Akshay and I played Wesley and Jon and came down to the last hole, and all of us birdied and so we tied.”

Jump ahead a few days at the Vidanta Vallarta golf course. Bryan missed the cut. But Rahm, Finau and Bhatia didn’t. It gets better. All make up the final grouping for Sunday’s final round. Finau leads, with Rahm and Bhatia two back, and the threesome tees off at 12:47 ET.

Wild.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun to battle out with them tomorrow,” Finau said. “They’re playing some good golf, all playing some good golf, so it will be a fun one.”
