Featured grouping for Farmers Insurance Open Round 3
It will be a treat for golf fans to watch World No. 1 Jon Rahm go toe-to-toe with World No. 6 Justin Thomas in the final grouping on Friday.
The two stars are tied at 13 under par through 36 holes, and rounding out their threesome will be Adam Schenk, a 29-year-old multi-season Tour veteran who is still seeking his first win, though he does have seven top 10s on his resume.
Schenk will also have some momentum on his side, after firing a sizzling 62 on Thursday.
But both Schenk and Thomas will have to battle against Rahm’s seriously good vibes at Torrey Pines. Not only was the course the site of his first Tour victory back in 2016, it’s also where he won his maiden major championship, the U.S. Open, last summer.
